The redeemed, with eyes opened by the gift of the Spirit, see God’s plan and strive to join Him in its execution. Before, they prayed for God to endorse and empower their own plans. When the Lord says, “None of this will go the way you think it should… Are you still with me?” If He asks you three or more times, will your last reply be more emphatic than the others?

Resurrection

He is Risen! He is Risen Indeed! Once again, we will gather to celebrate the greatest news of all time. The resurrection of our Lord Jesus is a miracle without equal. Though He was dead and buried, He arose by His own hand. Though He was condemned for our transgressions, He broke the bonds of Hell to set us free. Though He was treated as a common criminal, He emerged as King of all Creation. We are forgiven though unworthy. We are destined for resurrection though dead and buried in our trespasses. We are children of sin who are now sons and daughters of God the Father...Because of Him.

The Passion of Our Lord

It is Palm Sunday once again and the start of another Holy Week. This Sunday, we remember the passion of our Lord even while small groups, classes, and individuals wrap up the Red Letter Challenge. The RLC taught us how to listen to Christ’s words and apply them to our spiritual journey and daily interactions. Now, we will begin a week of intense focus upon what the Lord Jesus has done for us.

The Red Letter Challenge: Going

As we wind down the Red Letter Challenge and consider the 5th discipleship practice most often cited in the words of Jesus. So far, we talked about being, forgiving, serving, giving, and now, going. The last discipleship precept, going, is the toughest for about 90% of us.  Going requires faith, courage, and discomfort. This Sunday we'll talk about going wherever He sends us, and going away from whatever He asks us to leave behind.
