The Salvation of Doctor Who: Episode 2

This is the second episode of a new series the Shiloh's virtual church classroom will visit the world of "Doctor Who." Our discussion is structure around a bible study curriculum written by Matt Rawle called, "The Salvation of Doctor Who." 

The Doctor says it's a "wiblly wobbly, timey wimey thing." Time is not linear. It doesn't move in a straight line. It's the same way with cause and effect. Somethings are not caused. They happen because the One who can make something from nothing said so. 

It would be helpful if you watch some episodes of "Doctor Who." You'll have plenty to choose from since the show has aired in the UK and US for over 50 years.

2020 Christian Vision: The Importance of Commitment

Now that we've begun the discussion of 20/20 Christian vision, we can understand that any effort to improve our well-being, whether physical or spiritual, requires commitment. As your pastor, I have a responsibility that is similar to that of the healthcare professions you often visit. Like them, I am trained, skilled, and inspired so that I can give you prescriptions and recommendations for spiritual vitality. Last week I recommended regular Bible study and prayer. I suggested routine visits to the spiritual fitness center here at Shiloh and I challenged you to make a covenant with God that would be recorded in Heaven. This is the final episode of the study, but not the end. George gets a wonderful gift as he sees what the world would be like if he'd never been alive. We learn the meaning and value of every life and consider our own. Be sure to listen to the bonus episode - 5a.
