2020 Christian Vision: The Importance of Commitment

Now that we've begun the discussion of 20/20 Christian vision, we can understand that any effort to improve our well-being, whether physical or spiritual, requires commitment. As your pastor, I have a responsibility that is similar to that of the healthcare professions you often visit. Like them, I am trained, skilled, and inspired so that I can give you prescriptions and recommendations for spiritual vitality. Last week I recommended regular Bible study and prayer. I suggested routine visits to the spiritual fitness center here at Shiloh and I challenged you to make a covenant with God that would be recorded in Heaven. So, are you ready for the commitment that will see you to the fulfillment of your goals?

Christmas Blues

Christmas is not merry and the new year doesn't look happy to many friends and family members at Shiloh and in the community. Their grief is still running its course and they are not ready to experience the holidays without those whom they've lost. On the 3rd Sunday in Advent, we took time to acknowledge this and to offer some comfort.
