This sermon message is all about relationships. It is about job’s relationship with God. It is about his relationship with his wife. It is about his relationship with his friends. And is just about our relationships too. We will learn some things every human being needs to know about understanding and being understood.

This week we begin a series of messages from the book of Job. Our objective during this time of study will be to increase our faith in God, to better understand the nature of evil, and to love God even when God doesn’t make sense. The book of Job dares to ask the questions, “Can God be trusted?” What do you think?

 

In Revelation 7 we see God's plan of salvation for those who remain are present duriung the time of tribulation.

This week we will finish our study of the Book of Ruth. Like all good romance stories there is moment near the end that threatens the relationship. When we meet we will discover how the problem was resolved and what it means to countless numbers of persons through the ages.

In the Book of Ruth Boaz proclaims, "I will redeem it" to Ruth after she asks him to be her family's kinsman redeemer. He will cancel their debts and restore them to their home and community. Likewise, Jesus has redeemed sinful humanity to its home with the Father. Therefore, he has the authority to execute the Father's judgement. 

This week we will observe the beautiful story of Boaz and Ruth at the threshing floor. There will be some parts that are hard to understand, so it will be helpful to hear some sound teaching about the true nature of the events in Ruth 3. In time, we will understand the amazing plan of grace and hope revealed through this Bible gem.
