Pastor Dan will dive deeper into the heart of Jesus’s opening statement at the Sermon on the Mount. We’ll see that that the Beatitudes, which means “the blessings,” are not a list of virtues, but seven character traits of Christ and His disciples. In an age, when good character is in short supply among our leaders it is all the more necessary that we dedicate ourselves to the imitation of Christ and conformity to His character.

Our short sermon series on Wesley’s “Three Simple Rules” concludes this week with, “Stay in Love with God.” Husbands and wives who’ve been together for many years will tell you that a healthy marriage requires plenty of work. Young people who are deeply infatuated with their lovers will argue that if you must work at it, it’s not love. Similarly, some will argue that a relationship with God requires hard work, while others disagree. What do you think?
