God So Loved
Monday Mar 19, 2018
Monday Mar 19, 2018
As we prepare to enter another holy week of recalling the passion of Christ, it will serve us well to be mindful of the motivation behind it. Palm Sunday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter Sunday will each tell a story that is familiar to many of us, but not to all. Therefore, we must start with the reason for these peculiar events and the common misconceptions they incurred then and still today. Outside of a proper context for the passion of Christ, there is confusion and insignificance. Please join us this weekend for fulfilling worship and the Word of God.

We have reached the end of our learning from Joshua and the people of the Promised Land. The final message will be “Getting Ready to Fail.” Yes. We must be prepared to fail. Like Joshua and the people of Israel, we will witness great triumphs and shattering defeats as we journey with God. This week we will talk about why that happens. What would you guess is the main cause of failure in a life devoted to God?

Getting Ready to Triumph
Monday Feb 19, 2018
Monday Feb 19, 2018
This Sunday we return to the story of Joshua and the people of Israel. We will witness the unique ways in which God triumphs. As we look for God at work in our midst we must understand that God selects the way for us that often goes against normal thinking. God will determine the outcome and criteria that often challenges our willingness to cooperate with God. Nevertheless, it is always for a complete victory. When we cooperate with God, there will be triumph.

Getting Ready to Renew
Monday Feb 05, 2018
Monday Feb 05, 2018
There are times in our lives when, like Israel, we find that we have been disobedient and unfaithful to God, or at least out of step with what God desires for us. When such times occur, we must renew some important commitments and understandings:
1. We need to renew our grasp of God's plan for our lives, because God is committed to completing what God starts in the lives of God’s people.
2. We need to renew our appreciation for God’s ability to provide what is needed.
3. We need to renew our respect for and submission to God’s holiness. We can only go so far without our renewed respect for this essential nature of God.
This weekend we will witness through the story of Joshua and the people, God’s amazing grace and willingness to join in our renewal.
