Getting Ready to Speak

In this message we discuss the things we leave behind. We can leave things behind that speak for us in the years ahead. What we leave behind should speak of our faith—of how we believe(d) God and of our desire to faithfully serve God by joining with God in whatever God is doing in and around us. It must speak of our approach—of how we obediently and confidently followed God; It must speak of our God, who accomplished and continues to accomplish great things.

The Lord wants us to experience what He can do in our lives as we follow God’s plan, but we must give ourselves completely to it. We must be willing to face the obstacles with confidence, wait, and be ready. This weekend, join us as we learn from Joshua about “Getting Ready.” As always, our worship music, prayer, friendship and learning will all be a blessing. Pastor Dan’s weekly TGIW bible study will also be taken from the Book of Joshua.

We will see that God is already moving; that faith is increasing; that others are being influences, and that hearts are being convinced. Good News?

Presently, our society is being fed a steady diet of doomsday stories. We seem to really enjoy being scared out of our wits and then rescued by super-saviors. Why are we so obsessed with impending doom? Why is it easier to believe in comic book heroes than in Jesus Christ? What if such stories give us a glimpse of things to come?
